All our ideas about it are only speculations. This is where humility comes into play, certainly. Nature is a great mystery, and we human beings are a long way from understanding it.
You nailed it. Life emerged after the Big Bang, but how? What precipitated the organization of life forms from the elements later created by the death of stars? I've been scratching my head about this one for quite some time.
We humans are imperfect creatures, and nothing makes that more apparent than our inability to face reality. Some people have more trouble facing reality than others.
Our interaction with animals is one of the things that makes us human. Like you said, they enrich our lives. I still miss my dog, Matika (2006-2019).
